I'm Baaaaa-aaack!

Heya Bloggin Buddies!  It's been a long time, ain't it?  Well, I made it!  I made a 15 hr trip, with my Spidermonkeys and still have about the same amount of sanity that I had when I left.  I did it with no medication (my doc had not refilled my prescription when before I left).  Going was not too bad.  We broke up the trip and stayed in Charlotte with some friends for a few days before heading to Missouri.  I got my time with my gal pals and it made me so happy!  I miss them so much AND we had a Keno night!  I miss those girls so much!  They became my family away from my family when I moved there.  Anyways, here's a pic of us girls from that night.  I love them so much!

We are kinda a wild bunch when we get together, but we know how to have fun!  Thankfully, you can't see my green hair in the photo!  LOL
I don't do crazy colors in my hair, but I thought I would try something temporary and put purple streaks in my hair.  My dear friend, Melissa, helped me.  Unfortunately, my hair does not react to chemicals very well, and instead of purple streaks, I got green streaks.  For some reason, my hair just does not react to coloring and perms like most people...  Anyways, bless her heart, she fixed it for me!  Thank you Melissa for not making me go home with green hair!  XOXOXO!

Connor got to go to his girlfriend's  gymnastics birthday party that weekend.  He got to see his buddies from preschool.  It was nice seeing some of the parents too.  We had a great time but it wore all the kids out!  I also got to spend a lil time with my friend, Joy.  We may become inlaws in 20 years!  LOL

Looks like a future prom pic! LOL

Well, alas, we made it on the road on time the following day.  The kids were surprisingly very easygoing!  No fighting, screaming, or continuous potty breaks!  We made it all the way to Clarksville, Tennessee before stopping.  I was pleased with that!  The next day, however, made up for the first day.  Can't blame them though.  They had been in the car for a long time the day before and still had another 8 hrs to go!  We had just crossed into Kentucky when Connor had to go bathroom (after I nagged at him to go BEFORE we left the hotel).  We pull over and Connor takes LONG breaks.  I imagine he plays around and I don't even want to know or think of what he does in there.  But I wanted him to hurry.  He comes out and I was like, "Did ya poop?"  No... just peed.  So get a few miles down the road and Connor says "Mom!  I have to poop!  You have to stop!  My butt is hurting!!!"  So I make another stop 2 exits past the pee exit.  We run into a McD's.  Corbin and I shared a sausage mcmuffin and dr pepper and listened to Connor singing "Old McDonald" from his bathroom stall.  Story behind that is, since he won't use the women's bathroom anymore, I make him sing the whole time he's in the men's bathroom so I know he's okay.  He's to scream if anyone invades his space.  So after a 25 minutes poop break, we finally get back on the road.  I probably went 5 miles before Connor says "MOM!  I HAVE TO POOP AGAIN!!!"  SERIOUSLY KID!?!?!?  So we stop... AGAIN... at yet, another McDonalds.  He goes and sings and poops it up and I take the chance to change Corbin's diaper.  After yet, another 30 minute poop break, we get back on the road.  I probably get 2 miles down the road before I smelled it and seconds later Connor says "MOM!!!!!!  CORBIN'S BROWN! EWWW!  HE'S GOT POOP ALL OVER HIM!  HE'S POOPING EVERYWHERE!  I'M GONNA THROW UP!"  It stunk somethin terrible... Me and Connor both were gaggin.  I had to go almost 10 miles before I finally came to an exit!  We pulled into a trucker stop and let me tell ya what... A man DEFINITELY designed those bathrooms!  The store/restruant part was HUGE and then you get to the bathroom and my closet was bigger than this room!  NO DIAPER CHANGING TABLE!  There was one sink and I had maybe 2 feet to move.  I put Corbin in the sink and rinsed him off and bathed him in hand soap.  There was poop EVERYWHERE!  It took 45 minutes just to clean him, myself, and the bathroom.  THEN another 15 minutes to clean the carseat.  I hosed off the carseat and dried it the best I could with the vaccuum.  It still reeked of poop but my patience at this time was caput and I just wanted to get home to my momma!  Oh my heart was so happy when I saw that big arch in St. Louis!  I had made it to Missouri!  The traffic was terrible but I had crossed into territory that I recognized!  Even though Corbin had overflowed his diaper again... I was thrilled that I was in my homestate!  So pulled over and had lunch and cleaned 2 more poopies... and oh! I forgot how hilly that side of Missouri is!  I had to pull over cause I got carsick!  I never get carsick!  But I did that time!  Connor was WOO-HOOing cause he felt like he was on a roller coaster and I felt the same way but just not woohooing.
Oh, I was so happy when we made it to my momma's and gramma's!  I imagine I looked like hell when my gramma opened the door and saw me and a poopy toddler and Connor talking loudly and non-stop.  LOL
I had a great visit seeing my family!  Oh I miss them so much!  I hate being so far from them!  And my niece, OH!  I would spoil her rotten if I was there all the time.  Her and Connor had such a great time together and the boys miss playing with her!  I had a good time hanging with my sis!  We went out one night with a few friends and had such a great time!  I am pretty sure we would be in trouble with our hubbies if we lived closer!  LOL

Me and my sis!

I also got to see several of my friends that I haven't seen since I moved to NC 12 years ago.  It does but it doesn't seem that long.  It doesn't seem like it's been that long because when we all got together it was like just yesterday.  We may be older, but we still fun and crazy as always!  The only reason it seemed so long was seeing their kids!  Some didn't have kids that last time I seen them and they now have kids that are going into high school or jr. high that I remember being babies the last time I seen them!  I just know that I had a great time seeing everyone! One thing for sure is that old friends can become new friends again!
Me, Shawna, Danette, Crystal, Christina, & Sabrina had a playdate!  The kids came too!
At least the BK was still standing when we left!

I so miss my family.  Connor keeps asking when we are going to see our family again.  Once a year just ain't enough but it's better than going 3 yrs without seeing them.  I won't do that again.

Well, we made it home safe and sound.  It's good to be home with my hubby.  The boys missed their daddy so much.  And they missed their Nana and Papa.
I better go... the spidermonkeys are done playing nice.  It's war now...

Til the next time... XOXOX!
